Seto and Peipus-russian Christmas celebration
The event will take place on 6 January 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This winter, as has already become tradition, we will also be celebrating svjatki
and Orthodox Christmas (talsipühad) at the Estonian Open Air Museum.
There are many nationalities in Estonia who celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ
on the 6th and 7th January, and our event is meant to
bring joy to those minority communities. Many Ukrainian war refugees have
arrived in Estonia this year, and as they will be unable to celebrate Christmas
in their homeland as usual, they are especially welcome to come. We have
prepared the programme of the event with them in mind.
The event will take place in the Seto farm and the Peipus-Russian dwelling as
well as on the meadow between the buildings.
