Manuals on
old country house, roofs and barn kilns, compiled under the auspices of the
Centre of Rural Architecture, are helpful for restorers of old farmhouses.
The
collections of articles „Suitsutare” and „Eesti Vabaõhumuuseumi Toimetised” („Proceedings
of the Estonian Open Air Museum“) bring together researches and writings of the Open Air Museum researchers.
Our
researchers Heiki Pärdi and Hanno Talving have thoroughly discussed the more
general development of Estonian rural architecture and farm life as well as
various types of buildings (windmills, township community houses, schoolhouses,
inns). In addition, we have issued smaller publications on the values of the
old house and the restoration of the windows.
