The Folklore Society Leigarid was founded on March 14, 1969 with the aim to introduce Estonian folklore to tourists at the Estonian State Open Air Museum. Nearly 200 people belong to the society today. Active action takes place in different groups: dance group, children's groups, ancient Leigarid, singers and the group of musical instruments. During their performances "Leigarid" wear the national costumes that belong to different parts of Estonia.

'Mobil & aktiv erleben - Wohnmobil-Reiseführer' publishes travel guides for tourists travelling with motorhomes. They publish serveral guides in German language, for example about Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania giving advice for interesting routes through selected areas in Europe. Travelguides about the Baltic states are available at the museum´s handicraft store. The books are useful not only for travellers with motorhomes.
