Weave yourself into the history!
Estonian Open Air Museum with all of Estonians is weaving a 100-meter long genuine rag carpet for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia. The colors and patterns of the carpet symbolize Estonian historical parishes.
‘’Let’s weave Estonian people into history’’ is a call for every grown up and kid alike who would like to give their contribution to the making of the historical rag carpet. From the 12th of April there is rag carpet material and pattern description from artists Anu Raud and Ene Pars ready at Kolu Inn of the Estonian Open Air Museum. We weave ourselves into history to hold and appreciate our country and culture.
What can be a better gift for the Republic of Estonia than an honest rag carpet that has been made together with thousands of people.
We welcome everyone to the Estonian Open Air Museum to weave of few rows on a loom! The more participants we have, the lovelier carpet we get.
Everyone’s contribution is golden.
Come! Let’s weave our warm wishes, thoughts and feelings into the common history.
Time hides a story!
